## Which qualification rules apply to Supervisor-I posts?

For post codes D02 to D05, a full-time B.E., B.Tech., or B.Sc. (Engineering) in the relevant discipline is also permitted. A degree holder can therefore apply where the post asks for a diploma.

- NCRTC counts only full-time regular courses.
- The qualification must come from a UGC recognized Indian university or a UGC recognized deemed university.
- An AICTE approved course from an autonomous Indian institution also counts, where it applies.
- A candidate who claims an equivalent qualification must produce the equivalence certificate.
- If the university gives a grade or CGPA, the candidate must state the equivalent percentage in the application.

## What ITI rules apply to Junior Maintainer posts?

For post codes D06 to D09, a candidate must hold the ITI certificate in the named trade. A higher qualification does not replace the ITI. NCRTC does not consider a candidate who has a higher qualification but no ITI.

The ITI must come from the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT). It must be a full-time course or a full-time equivalent.

## What is the age relaxation for NCRTC Supervisor (Operations) 2026?

The table shows the relaxation in the upper age limit. Relaxation for more than one category adds up. The maximum upper age must not exceed **50 years** after all relaxations.

| Category | Relaxation in years |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------- |
| SC or ST | 5 |
| OBC (NCL) | 3 |

| PwBD in SC or ST | 15 |

The PwBD relaxation applies when the post is identified as suitable for PwBD. NCRTC identified post codes D02, D03, and D05 as suitable. A PwBD candidate must have at least **40%** of the relevant disability.
