## NCRTC Supervisor (Operations) 2026 selection process stages

| Stage | What happens |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1. CBT | 100 questions, 100 marks, 90 minutes, in Hindi or English |
| 2. Medical fitness test | NCRTC tests candidates who pass the CBT against the A-3 or B-1 standard |
| 3. Verification | NCRTC checks original documents on the date of the medical examination |

NCRTC also checks the character and antecedents of selected candidates. Success in the selection process gives no right to appointment unless the inquiry is satisfactory.

## What are the CBT qualifying marks?

| Category | Minimum qualifying percentage | Minimum marks out of 100 |
| --------------------------- | ----------------------------- | ------------------------ |
| UR, OBC (NCL), EWS | 60% | 60 |
| SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen | 50% | 50 |

Qualifying marks do not confer any right to shortlisting or final selection. The result depends on the number of positions, the ratio that NCRTC applies, and the relative performance in each category.

A reserved category candidate who applies against an unreserved post gets no lower qualifying marks. NCRTC also keeps the right to fix the minimum standard for any post.

## Where will NCRTC hold the CBT?

A candidate gave a preference of five cities for the test center in the online application. NCRTC does not change the choice under any circumstance. NCRTC may assign any center, and it may cancel or add centers. The table lists the **22** city options.
