A candidate with more than one ground gets the highest relaxation only. The years do not add up. SC, ST and OBC-NCL candidates who apply against unreserved vacancies get no relaxation.

- A candidate who awaits the final result must not apply.
- A candidate must be an Indian citizen, or fit one of the listed Nepal, Bhutan or migrant cases. Those cases need a certificate of eligibility.
