## RVUNL JE Electrical 2026 eligibility: educational qualification

The candidate must hold a full-time four-year graduation degree in Engineering as a regular student. An AMIE also counts. The degree or AMIE must be in one of the branches below, or in an equivalent branch. A university or institute set up by law in India must award it. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) must recognize it as equal to a full-time engineering degree.

| Eligible Electrical branch |
| --------------------------------------- |
| Electrical |
| Electrical and Electronics |
| Electrical, Instrumentation and Control |
| Power Systems and High Voltage |
| Power Electronics |
| Power Engineering |

The notification names no diploma as a qualification. So a diploma alone does not meet the rule.

### Can final-year students apply?

Yes. A candidate in the final year, semester, or exam of the qualification can apply. The candidate must submit proof of the qualification at document verification. The date of result declaration or mark-sheet issue counts as the date of qualification. The company rejects the candidature if the candidate lacks the qualification by the verification date. This happens even after a pass in the written test.

### Which language skills does the notification require?

A candidate must have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script. A candidate must also know Rajasthani culture.

## RVUNL JE Electrical 2026 age limit

The minimum age is 21 years. The upper limit depends on the company. The company counts age on 1 January 2027. The notification gives a higher limit for RVPN because direct recruitment gaps differed between companies.

| Company | Upper age limit on 1 January 2027 |
| ----------------------- | --------------------------------- |
| RVUN, JVVN, AVVN, JdVVN | Under 40 years |
| RVPN | Under 43 years |

### How does age relaxation work?

The relaxation is non-cumulative. A candidate may claim it under one rule only. The exception is the PwBD relaxation, which adds to the category relaxation.

| Group | Relaxation |
| --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Male SC, ST, BC, MBC, EWS | 5 years |
| Female UR (GEN) | 5 years |
| Female SC, ST, BC, MBC, EWS | 10 years |
| PwBD | 5 years, on top of the category relaxation |
| Ex-servicemen | 15 years. The final age limit is 50 years. |
| Widows and divorced women | No upper age limit |
| Employees of the same company | No upper age limit, in that company only |
| Apprentices trained in the same company | 1 year, in that company only |

## Which disqualification rules apply to RVUNL JE Electrical 2026?

The notification lists four rules. A candidate is not eligible in these cases:

1. The candidate has more than one living spouse.
2. The candidate is married to a person who already has a living spouse.
3. The candidate accepted dowry at the time of marriage.
4. The candidate has more than two children born on or after 1 June 2002.

The fourth rule has exceptions. A candidate is not disqualified if the number of children on 1 June 2002 has not grown. Children from one later delivery count as one when the candidate had one earlier child. A child with a disability from an earlier delivery does not count. A legally adopted child does not count. The rule does not apply to widows and divorced women.

The notification also asks for good character and good health. A selected candidate must give a medical certificate from the authority that the company names. The [document verification page](/article/rvunl/rvunl-je-electrical-2026/after-result-steps/) lists the papers for proof. The [selection process page](/article/rvunl/rvunl-je-electrical-2026/selection-process/) explains the test.
