What must a candidate carry to the exam center?

What is the name match rule?

The name on the admit card must match the name on the photo ID exactly. A candidate who changed a name after marriage must take special care. This candidate must carry one of these items in original: the Gazette notification, the marriage certificate, or an affidavit. SPMCIL does not allow a candidate with a name mismatch to take the exam.

What are the reporting and exam day rules?

  • SPMCIL does not permit a candidate who reports after the reporting time to take the exam. The reporting time is before the start time of the test.
  • The test lasts 120 minutes. A candidate may need to stay at the venue for about 3 hours.
  • The signature on the admit card and the attendance sheet must match the uploaded signature. SPMCIL can disqualify a candidate if the signatures do not match.
  • A candidate who carries a mobile phone or a similar electronic device into the exam hall can face disqualification.
  • The same ID rules apply at the interview. A candidate must carry the admit card, the interview call letter, the original photo ID, and one photocopy.

What rules apply to candidates who use a scribe?

A candidate with a disability can use a scribe. The candidate pays the cost of the scribe. The scribe must not be a candidate for the same exam. The candidate must say so in the application form. SPMCIL gives eligible candidates a compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour. Only candidates who registered for the compensatory time get it.
