NCRTC Supervisor Electronics exam pattern 2026
| Section | Subject | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Reasoning (common for all posts) | 20 | 20 |
| B | General Knowledge and Current Affairs (common for all posts) | 20 | 20 |
| C | Subject Knowledge (specific to post D02) | 60 | 60 |
| Total | 100 | 100 |
Section C has the most weight. It holds 60 of 100 marks. For post D02, these questions come from ten Electronics subjects. The syllabus page lists them.
Marking scheme and time
Each correct answer carries 1 mark. Wrong answers carry no penalty. A candidate loses nothing by guessing, so a candidate can answer every question.
The CBT lasts 90 minutes for 100 questions. This gives about 54 seconds for each question. A candidate can take the CBT in Hindi or English.
Qualifying marks
| Category | Minimum percentage | Minimum marks |
|---|---|---|
| UR, OBC (NCL), EWS | 60% | 60 of 100 |
| SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen | 50% | 50 of 100 |
Qualifying marks do not give a right to further selection. NCRTC selects on merit and considers the number of posts, the ratio it applies, and relative performance in each category. A reserved-category candidate who applies against an unreserved post gets no lower qualifying marks.
What the pattern means for preparation
Technical marks decide the result. A candidate must cover all ten D02 subjects. Reasoning and general knowledge together carry 40 marks, so a candidate must not skip them. A candidate who scores well in Section C but misses the 60 marks overall does not qualify.
The same pattern applies to every post code in Notice 32/2026. The reasoning and general knowledge sections are common. Only Section C changes by post.
Exam hall rules
A candidate must download the admit card from ncrtc.in only. NCRTC bans mobile phones and other communication devices in the exam hall. A candidate who brings one faces expulsion. NCRTC has not announced the CBT date yet.
