What are the stages of the CPRI Engineering Assistant Electrical selection process?

CPRI may limit the number of candidates it calls for document verification or the skill test. It may do this when many candidates apply. CPRI also fixes the cut-off marks, and its decision is final.

How does CPRI break a tie?

If two candidates tie on CBT score, CPRI places the older candidate higher in the merit list. CPRI uses the date of birth for this rule.

Where will CPRI hold the CBT?

CPRI lists five CBT cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Delhi, and Kolkata. CPRI tries to give you the center that you prefer. It may allot any other center or city. CPRI does not accept a request to change the center.

You must arrange your own travel to the CBT, the skill test, and the document verification. You pay for it yourself.

What must you carry to the CBT?

You must carry your admit card and an original photo ID. CPRI does not allow entry without both. The name on your photo ID must match the name in your online application exactly.

The admit card or call letter shows the venue, the date, and the time. CPRI notifies the test schedule on its website in the career or recruitment result page.

Which original documents does CPRI check?

• Proof of date of birth, such as the matriculation certificate, the secondary school leaving certificate, or the X standard marks card
• Your diploma certificate with the mark sheets of all years or semesters
• Your experience or service certificate with supporting documents
• Your category certificate, such as the caste certificate, the OBC (NCL) certificate, the EWS income and asset certificate, or the disability certificate
• An NOC from your employer, if you work in government service

What help does CPRI give candidates with disabilities?

CPRI gives a scribe and extra time as per Government of India instructions. You must ask for them in the online form. You cannot add or change the request after you submit the form.

You arrange the scribe at your own cost. The scribe must not be a candidate for the same exam. The scribe must hold a qualification one step below yours. You submit a signed declaration and the scribe details at the exam center. The scribe must show an original photo ID.

What happens if a candidate breaks the rules?

CPRI cancels the candidature of a candidate who uses unfair means. It can end your candidature at any stage if it finds false information. Canvassing in any form makes you liable for disqualification.

What happens after selection?

Probation for all posts is initially 2 years. CPRI may post you at any of its offices in India.
