How to apply online for RRB Radiographer X-Ray Technician 2026?

1. Open the official RRB website and use the application link.
2. Create an account with your own mobile number and active email ID. Use the old login if you made an account for an RRB CEN in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
3. Verify your identity with DigiLocker or Aadhaar. This step is optional but the RRB advises it.
4. Enter your name, parents’ names and date of birth as on your 10th class certificate.
5. Choose one RRB. Then list your Railway zone and post preferences.
6. Enter your education details.
7. Capture the live photograph and upload your signature.
8. Submit the form and pay the fee online.
9. Save the email and SMS that confirm your payment.

The RRB accepts the application only after it gets the fee payment. Details in the “Create an Account” form and the chosen RRB cannot change at any stage.

What is the RRB Radiographer X-Ray Technician application fee?

The candidate paid online with internet banking, a debit card, a credit card or UPI. No other mode was valid. The RRB does not refund the fee for a rejected or incomplete application.

How does the refund reach you?

The RRB pays the refund only to a bank account that links to your Aadhaar number. The portal checks the link during the application. A candidate without a bank account may give a family member’s linked account.

How did the correction window work?

A candidate could change details after payment, except the “Create an Account” form and the chosen RRB. Each change cost ₹250. The RRB did not refund this fee.

The window ran from 17 October 2026 to 26 October 2026. A candidate who moved from SC or ST to a general category paid the ₹250 fee difference. Candidates who needed a scribe entered the scribe details from 27 October 2026 to 31 October 2026.

What are the photo and signature rules?

The portal did not accept an old photograph. It took a live photo from a web camera or a phone front camera. The candidate wore non-white clothes and no cap, mask or glasses. The face had to sit inside the frame.

The signature must match the signature at the exam, at document verification and at the medical test. A blank, blurred or block-letter signature leads to rejection at any stage.

SC and ST candidates who wanted a free train pass uploaded the caste certificate as a PDF under 400 KB.
