What were the SSC CHSL 2026 apply online steps?

A candidate applied on ssc.gov.in or in the my SSC mobile application. The steps were as follows.

  2. Choose Aadhaar based authentication during OTR.
  3. Open the CHSL 2026 form and fill in the details.
  4. Write the name, date of birth, father’s name and mother’s name as in the matriculation certificate.
  5. Capture the live photo in the form.
  6. Upload the signature.
  7. Choose three exam centres in order of priority, all in the same region.
  8. Choose Hindi or English for the typing test if the post needs it.
  9. Check the preview and submit the form.
  10. Pay the fee if the candidate does not get a fee exemption.

SSC allowed corrections from 14 October 2026 to 16 October 2026. A candidate could correct the form two times. The first correction cost ₹200 and the second cost ₹500. Only candidates with a complete form and a paid fee could use the window.

What must a candidate do after applying?

Print the form and keep a copy. SSC advises candidates to keep the form and exam documents for at least 3 years. The form status reads Application Received (Contents Not Verified) because SSC accepts the form only provisionally.

SSC asks for post preferences later through an online option form before the result. A candidate who gives no preference gets no post. Learn more on the selection process page.
