Medical fitness test for Supervisor-I (Civil)
You must meet the A-3 standard in the medical fitness test. NCRTC bears the cost of the first medical examination. If you do not join in time and ask for an extension or a re-examination, you must pay for the second examination.
The A-3 standard has these main points:
- You must be physically fit in all respects.
- Distant vision must be 6/9 and 6/9, with or without glasses.
- Near vision must be Sn 0.6 and 0.6, with or without glasses.
- Colour vision, binocular vision, field of vision, and night vision must be present.
- The power of glasses must not exceed plus or minus 2D.
- Lasik surgery is not allowed.
These standards are indicative and not complete. NCRTC refers to the Indian Railway Medical Manual for full details.
Document check and character verification
NCRTC verifies your eligibility with your original documents on the date of the medical examination. If you fail this check, NCRTC rejects your candidature. Your admission to all stages is provisional until the check is complete.
Success in the selection process does not give a right to appointment. NCRTC must find your character and antecedents satisfactory. You must fill in an attestation form at the time of initial appointment. NCRTC removes a person from service if the form has false or hidden information.
NCRTC may call or not call any candidate, and it may cancel or postpone the whole process for administrative reasons. Read the exam pattern next. The notification page explains the two notices.
